IFTF Expo Smashing Success!

Vijfhuizen, November 8, 2011. IFTF Expo 2011 closed its doors last Friday with a total number of 11,834 visitors having attended the second edition of the trade fair. An increase of almost 70% in comparison with last year when about 7,132 visitors came through the doors. The number of pre registrations increased from 1,945 to 3,978. Especially traders from east european countries were dominating the international part of the buyers.

Kenya was present with all 'big guys', as breeders described it. During the first two days the exhibition aisles were crowded from the morning until the evening during, and although it was more quiet on the third and last day, it picked up again in the afternoon and still ended with a full house. The atmosphere was great: informal, cosy, pleasant and most visitors were either buyers or growers. The Open Houses of many breeders were also successful, although because of the great attraction of the exhibition itself, not attended as well as expected.

The 3 exhibition halls were completely filled with exhibitors and stands looked professional and very well taken care of. Also many new potted plant products were on display this edition which, with the abundance of natural day light coming from the greenhouse hall type, allowed flowers and plants to be shown at their best. IFTF Expo has with this second edition proven to be a profesional international floriculture trade exhibition and well on its way to become a world floricultural trade expo.
