| Experiments at the FiBL in Switzerland (Research Institute of Organic Agriculture) demonstrated that the control of Sciarid fly larvae by the nematode Steinernema feltiae was efficient (69-90% at an air temperature of 24°C. Under conditions above 28°C, the use of Neem oil could be a useful alternative. This biological pesticide is available as Azadirachtin (the tree species is Aaadirachta indica, family Metaceae).
