Queen® innovation wins IPM Novelty Award 2011, Category Flowering houseplants.

Judges at IPM Essen applaud ‘Charming Purple’ – a living bouquet for inside as well as for the garden and patio.

An IPM Novelty Award 2011 rewarded the latest creative development from Queen® at IPM Essen 2011, where the judges fell for the new Queen® WildFlowers® variant ‘Charming Purple’.
Exotic look - also for the patio
‘Charming Purple’ is the newest vibrant colour in the Queen® WildFlowers® series.
Also Ideal for the garden and patio, the long stems bear an abundance of funnel-shaped flowers that turn a glowing dark red during the summer months. Dark, serrated leaves accentuate the plant’s exotic look.
Easy-care living bouquet
“Our intention with the WildFlowers® series is to create the impression of a living bouquet,” says Louise Jepsen, Queen® marketing manager.
“As with all our plants, WildFlowers® require a minimum of attention and, when placed outdoors, will continue to bloom right up to the first winter frost.”
Queen® has launched a marketing campaign that targets the opportunities for outdoor use. Indoors, plants from the world-leading kalanchoe producer are already widely appreciated for their long-lasting blooms and suitability for all occasions.
Award-winning reputation
Queen® has received a number of awards for its outstanding innovation over the years. Another new product, Queen® MoreFlowers® ‘Pink Paris’ was among the award nominees at this year’s IPM Essen.
“We are honoured to receive this IPM Novelty award,” Louise Jepsen states. “In addition to recognising the skills of our innovation team, it confirms that our strategic focus on consumer lifestyles is taking us in the right direction.”
