Final at Floating Greenhouse on 28 April
The final will be held at the Floating Greenhouse in Naaldwijk on 28 April, with the finalists presenting their creations to a distinguished jury chaired by Rob Verlinden. The results will be announced on 26 May 2011, when the FloraHolland Glazen Tulp Awards will be presented to the winners at a location suitable to the occasion.

New voting methods for FloraHolland Glazen Tulp Award
Every year, FloraHolland presents growers and breeders with a Glazen Tulp for each of four categories. The Glazen Tulp is the floriculture sector’s most prestigious award, given by FloraHolland for the best market introduction of the year. The winners are nominated and selected from among the hundreds of new cultivars and concepts introduced to auction each year. Until now, the juries deciding the nominations and winners have been largely made up of professionals and the public, with the trade also represented in the professional jury. But this time, buyers and sellers, too, have been able to lend their own weight of influence by indicating from the outset which products in each of the four categories were their favorites.

Florists, retailers and garden centers are always on the lookout for innovations to entice customers. Buyers and sellers with export firms, traders and wholesalers are at the heart of the floriculture chain: thanks to the daily exposure they have to the market, they are in a good position to indicate which novelty has been the year's most successful novelty product or concept.
