News blurb about Spring Trials in California - Two new interspecific geraniums, RED FOX Salsa and RED FOX Cumbia,

Dümmen hosted over 700 visitors at Edna Valley Vineyards during the recent Spring Trials event in California. During the course of five days, March 27-31, growers, brokers, university groups and the floriculture trade media explored new RED FOX products for the 2012 spring season.

Highlights of the event were the introductions of two new interspecific geraniums, RED FOX Salsa and RED FOX Cumbia, with visitors treated to demonstrations and lessons in these two South American dance styles.

Other introductions of interest were:
  • Fresh new RED FOX Confetti Garden mixes helped celebrate the “Fifth Birthday” of this innovative line. Notables were: “Red Winged Black Bird,” “Kir Royal”, and “Black Tie Bordeaux”
  • The new RED FOX Dahlia XXL, whose flowers inspired more than one guest to pull out his measuring tape to check the immense size of the flowers
  • Dramatic new colors in the RED FOX Sweetunia series of petunias, particularly “Bordeaux”, “Black Jack” and “Orange Flash”
  • New colors in the RED FOX Potunia line of petunias, notably “Popcorn” and “Pinkalicious”
  • The new RED FOX Garden Party concept, perfected combos featuring three or four genera chosen for high visual impact when planted together in large containers

Guests from as far away as Japan, Australia, Holland and Germany attended, but the visitors from Colombia had the most fun – they Salsa’d and Cumbia’d as well as (if not better than) the demonstration dancers.
