Calibrachoa Lindura®
Fides highlights the new Calibrachoa Lindura® series for the coming season. This series has been achieving excellent results at various testing stations in Europe and America. In several important trials, Calibrachoa Lindura® Yellow was considered a very good introduction. The Lindura® series was further complimented in terms such as “Amazing beauty”, “Good plant habit and branching” and “Very beautiful series for production”. The series grows compact and round, produces early flowers, needs little growth regulators, is tolerant regarding above average pH values and is very floriferous.
Pop Idols®
These new up-and-coming stars are ready to amaze you! This new Idols series performs well both in a six pack as well as small pot sizes. This series really pops right out the soil and fills up a six pack or small pot very well. The series has small leaves, branches well, without shoots 'taking off' and develops short flower stems. The striking colours of a multitude of flowers on sturdy stems contrast nicely with the dark green leaves. Furthermore, this variety grows and flowers quickly. Subject to the conditions, this variety grows faster than comparable varieties on the market. These series includes five colours: Lilac with Eye, Neon Pink, Red, White and Salmon.
Dahlinova Hypnotica®
Hypnotica, which was introduced in 2009, has scored highly with growers and traders. This series is unique because of the uniformity between the mutual varieties, its development of shoots, its cultivation speed and its tolerance to various different types of weather. This year, Fides presents four introductions, that all stand out by the combination of large flowers against dark leaves. This ensures a truly eye-catching floral display. Just like other balcony types, this Dahlia develops a nice length and flowers easily and profusely. Right now, the series includes eleven colours!
Pot Chrysanthemums
In the last years, Fides introduced no less than 25 new pot Chrysanthemums from its own breeding. This means a whole variety in colours and types of flowers that is easily recognizable because of its nomenclature. Within the double flowered assortment for example, there is a new strongly yellow coloured variety Chrystal Yellow and a large flowered medium pink Chrystal Pink. There is also the very fast growing decorative purple Chrystal Aubergine and the decorative bronze coloured Chrystal Bronze. Within the single flowered segment, the assortment has been supplemented with true white Breeze Frost and Breeze Red Improved. Really special types are Splash Green, a bright green pot Chrysanthemum with spider like flowers and brightly coloured pink-white two-tone Rainbow Candy.
