Vipot pots are a new innovative solution, in line with most advanced trends in the field of “respect for environment” and “sustainable agriculture and vegetable productions”.
These pots must be considered as natural products, since the original raw material is the rice-husk, a by-product of the refining of this cereal, until recently considered as a useless material and difficult to dispose of.
Mixed with natural amalgam, rice-husk results in a material that makes the pot solid and consistent, one that is not derived from chemical processes or processing and that is finally 100% biodegradable.
When planted in the ground, Vipot pots will dissolve in a programmable time, according to production needs. In the case of decorative plants or in-home-plants, at the end of their life, plants and pots can be disposed of together in the household organic waste. Vipots pots are commercialised by Total Packaging, a company in Treviglio (BG) engaged in the field of packaging with no environmental impact (see more below).

Merloflor, ortoflor business based in Albenga, is specialized in aromatic plants, herbs and flowers in a vase and is launching at Euroflora its 2011 innovation. It is the Naturalmente Bio product line, obtained from biological production and adopting the natural and biodegradable pots, Vipot.
This company has decided to engage in production of natural aromatic plants and herbs, with total respect for the environment and human health, with proper and certified natural and organic methods, thus eliminating wherever possible the use of plastics and all not eco-friendly materials and components (see more below).
