Horti Fair and Lakerveld to launch international trade journal

Aalsmeer, 13 July 2011 -The International Horti Fair and Lakerveld Publishing are to launch an international horticultural trade journal dedicated to technology, innovation and inspiration. This announcement was made by the fair organization and the publishing company. The first edition of Holland Horticulture Technology Review will be issued in October 2011; the journal will have a total circulation of 21,000 and will be available in both printed and online versions.

“A trade fair is more than simply a collection of stands,” says Frans-Peter Dechering, director of the International Horti Fair. “It is a way for companies in and associated with the greenhouse horticulture sector to communicate. To this, we are adding a new medium: a trade journal by the name of Holland Horticulture Technology Review."

Holland Horticulture Technology Review will be a trade journal written in English for horticultural professionals throughout the world. “It will publish extensively about current and future developments in horticulture such as greenhouse, cultivation and plant breeding technology. Horticultural businesses, suppliers and manufacturers will benefit from this journal, no matter where they are located,” adds Ad van Gaalen, director of Lakerveld Publishing.

The International Horti Fair, the largest international trade fair exhibiting technology, innovation and inspiration in horticulture, will be held in the Amsterdam RAI from 1 to 4 November inclusive. This year’s trade fair will include more than 600 stands and is expected to attract more than 30,000 international and Dutch visitors.

Lakerveld Publishing distributes twenty trade journals including Vakblad GlasTuinbouwTechniek (six issues/year). The only technical horticultural medium available in Dutch, it targets everyone professionally involved in the technological aspects of Dutch and Belgian greenhouse horticulture and has a circulation of 6000.
