Lasting gift for visitors to Horti Fair

Around 2,000 visitors to the Horti Fair will be receiving a fascinating and lasting gift this year. The Biosphere is a closed mini-greenhouse in the form of a flask containing a small plant. The plant has everything it needs to keep itself alive for a number of years.

The Horti Fair, the biggest international horticultural trade fair for technology, innovation and inspiration, is taking place in Amsterdam from 1 to 4 November inclusive this year. Visitors to the Horti Fair who want to be eligible for the Biosphere can register for the gift via the Horti Fair visitor registration system. They will then receive the name of five participating companies and can collect Florins at the stands of these companies. Florins are banknotes made specially for the Horti Fair and whoever collects all five Florins receives the Biosphere.

The Biosphere is one of the ways in which the Horti Fair wants to bring visitors and exhibitors more into contact with each other. First of all through the stand visits during the trade show. But also because the Biosphere carries the logos of the participating exhibitors and the flask containing the plant can be expected to grace the desks of lots of visitors for years to come.

In addition, the Biosphere is intended to be an inspiration for visitors and exhibitors alike, says Horti Fair director Frans-Peter Dechering: "We want to show visitors and exhibitors the kind of innovative marketing concepts that exist for reaching potential customers." A maximum of 25 exhibitors can take part in the Biosphere project, according to Dechering. The number of participating visitors is no more than 2,000.
