Plantarium connects growers, horticultural companies, retailers and consumers. The theme of the 32nd edition is therefore: Connect. Visitors to Plantarium are swept along into the horticultural world on a journey along the various stops made by the horticultural products. The journey starts with the development of a new product by means of breeding and concept development and takes visitors to retail and the end use of the product via the nursery.

Last year, Plantarium already revealed surprising plant combinations in the seasonal garden at the centre of the fair and the pot/plant combinations in the Plantarium Garden Theatre. This year, the journey has been expanded to include technology, the tree nursery product and floristry.

Twenty sample gardens

The central axis of the fair, with a master plan which was drawn up by the landscape architects Niek Roozen BV, will feature twenty sample gardens with surprising and inspiring plant combinations on the basis of various different themes. Regional landscape architects and horticultural companies will be given the opportunity to display their knowledge and skills here. Themes such as health, the edible garden, water and romance will be elaborated on. The gardens feature the products made available to Plantarium by the participants.

The gardens will be created in containers which link together to form a single sample garden. This makes the gardens mobile and allows them to be transported to every conceivable sales location. Following on from last year's plant combinations in the seasonal garden, which were displayed in containers, garden centres can easily replicate these mobile gardens too.

The central axis leads to the Plantarium Experience centre (hall 2) with the various trade fairs, demonstrations, the TuinZaken Experience shop and the pearl of Plantarium: the new plant awards.
